Core knowledge

Our core knowledge guide sets out the core substantive knowledge about humanism that students should learn from ages 5-14. This will help them to develop a sound understanding of an example of a non-religious worldview as part of a rich and inclusive education about religion and worldviews.

The content of this document has been designed to support teachers, schools, Standing Advisory Councils for Religious Education (SACREs), and Agreed Syllabus Conferences (ASCs) to plan their teaching or to integrate humanism into a syllabus or scheme of work.
